FACEBOOK COULD BE GONE IN TEN (10) YEARS.

I find this gist very enticing and exciting. I am sorry o; despite that I find Facebook’s model (Advertising Model) very ingenious, I am not particularly a fan of Mark Zuckerberg. If you’ve followed my posting about him of late, you’d know that I am averse to his ‘shark’ style. His is even more vicious than familiar sharks we know. So this news has a way of making me feel good.

FACEBOOK THRIVES ON TRACKING ALL YOU DO. Yes na. See, when you save a new phone number on your phone, that person’s name appears on your Facebook thread as a suggested new friend. When you search anything on your mobile browser, Facebook throws up an advert that shows same content. WhatsApp is the tunnel through which Facebook snoops on us. Damn!!!

So guess what? Apple, for all iOS users, has released a patch that allows users to CHOOSE whether they want their data tracked by apps. If you choose NO, it BLOCKS any app from tracking your data usage. Feedback says: “85% of worldwide users clicked ‘ask app not to track’ when prompted, with the proportion rising to 94 per cent in the US.!!!” OoohLaaLaa!!!

Imagine many operating systems adopting this style… are you thinking what I’m thinking?

So how does this apply to you and I?

1. If you want to play smart and dirty in business, remember that it takes a village to raise a child. This means MANY ENEMIES WILL GATHER AS FRIENDS TO FIGHT A COMMON ENEMY. Mark no wan get sense (Mark is not trying to be reasonable).
2. Ingenuity is king but community is the Queen. No individual is solely supreme. We all need each other.
3. Criminality has an END DATE. Like in the book BITCOIN BILLIONAIRES, Facebook transited from being REVOLUTIONARY to being an ESTABLISHMENT. Hence the powers backing her strategies. But fundamentally, Facebook model is sickening and hurts the ecosystem. At a point in Silicon Valley, every other tech business was ignored by start ups who wanted only Facebook to buy their tech ideas or solutions; especially because Mark ‘came after’ anyone who tried to compete with Facebook. Damn!!! Such bloodiness!!!

Well, he who has sense shall apply this message. 😁
