WHAT MY DOMESTIC STAFF DID TO ME

My housekeeper approached me this morning and asked ‘Sir, I saw a book on your table on ‘Family Finance’; is it okay if I read it Sir?’ 😳😳😳😱😱😱 I was sincerely, evidently shocked!!!

😳😳😳😱😱😱

I was sincerely, evidently shocked!!!

This is the FIRST TIME I would have a domestic staff (I have had several in 10 years) who will show interest in reading books. WoW!!!

My experience with them has been that they come work for me, I engineer their growth by asking what else they want to do; some chose schooling, some vocational work and so they go into those ambitions when they have learnt and I hire another… that’s why I have worked with several… but this one? E shock me.

I was more than glad to tell her to take the book.. I will get another copy for her from ADEBISI ATEWOLOGUN, the Author.

This brings me to ask: HOW ARE YOU INFLUENCING YOUR DOMESTIC WORKERS TO BETTER THEIR LIVES?

My Mum, at some point in her young life, was a domestic worker. Till today, she says that was the pivotal period that shaped her person. I am a byproduct of that.

My Dad worked in a hotel as a janitor and that was where he met a Belgian who sponsored his education at a technical college in Minna, Niger State. I am a byproduct of that.

Which child, IN FUTURE, will be a byproduct of your investment in their parent who is currently your domestic staff?

Think am.
