IT IS NO LONGER NEWS that the TOP PLATFORMS are becoming MORE GATED and SHRINKING ACCESS.

Last year, Instagram started what it called SUBSCRIPTION to help content creators earn from “limited audiences only”. Call it VVIP IG.

Then Elon Musk acquired Twitter and instantly started what is called TWITTER BLUE, which is a VVIP version of Twitter for PAID SUBSCRIBERS. A little later, ALL BLUE TICK VERIFICATION was placed on an $8 fee. This week, Twitter announced that the 2FA (2 Level Authentication Factor, a feature that requires your SMS Code confirmation to grant access to your Twitter account) will STOP EXISTING. Elon says you either use a 3rd Party Authentication software or buy Twitter’s verification to be secure.

Just yesterday, Meta (Facebook and IG) have said TO HAVE A BLUE TICK VERIFICATION, YOU MUST PAY. $12 for all users and $14 for Apple Users (because Apple collects taxes via iOS). So, perhaps in 6 months time, there will be TOO MUCH VULNERABILITY on our Facebook and Instagram accounts that will ‘convince’ us to buy the secure verifications.
