Fairly Long Post – This is mainly for Speakers, Trainers, Coaches, Founders, CEOs & Public Figures.
I have been scouting for a strong personal brand in Abuja to fit into an event. Someone whose name compels traction and is identified with depth. IT HAS BEEN VERY TOUGH.
What I have noticed is that some are DEEP. They know their subject matter deeply BUT THEY ARE INVISIBLE. They maintain a very low profile which makes them unattractive to public event platforms.
Some have popularity. They are everywhere but they don’t carry weight. They’re sensations on social media and their name is heard in many cycles BUT they’re unable to pull a crowd.
Some have both depth and clout but platform owners are usually worried about a character issue. They’re seen as being too extreme in their views or having a baggage which may smear the platform considering them.
As a Platform Owner, I know these challenges first hand. I have always struggled to find suitable Speakers for my events; like BSG Summit or even occasional workshops. This is why I founded OSP.
My next task is to encourage OSP Members to not limit themselves to depth and knowledge alone. Usually, knowledge is almost guaranteed if someone is progressive but visibility has to be an intentional commitment.
A GOOD BRAND MUST HAVE KNOWLEDGE x CLOUT x CHARACTER ‼️

Because of home training, a lot of these people have character. At all, at all, it’s working. Even though many people need help with MONEY ISSUES and ANGER ISSUES.
The biggest lacuna is CLOUT. So many of us are NOT strategically visible. We think writing on social media every day is the visibility. It’s more than that… to be visible and command clout, you must satisfy the following checklist:
• Be a Thought Leader – have a niche conversation and own it
• Look the Part – create a visual representation. There’s a way you look that becomes synonymous with you. Create that identity
• Aspire to speak on top platforms. Online is not enough. Make yourself available to speak to people in physical spaces and deliver when you do
• Have a variety of Products – a solid brand must have solid products. The least of which are BOOKS. Write books around your thought leadership… establish your name as the ‘owner’ of that space
• Build and Maintain a Strong Community online and offline. The minimum is a mailing list. The best case is Mailing List + Online Groups like WhatsApp + Frequent Webinars + Frequent In-Person Meetings. This combination is UNBEATABLE; especially if value is delivered back-to-back
Get Started now and don’t look back. The stronger your brand grows, the easier people who own platforms can leverage your brand. HELP US!!! We need your brand to be stronger. Please HELP US. Especially Abuja based brands. You need to do the work. GROW ‼️
