There are 2 misconceptions some people have shared about me with me in the last few days:

1.⁠ ⁠Your FEE is TOO LOW. I will call this my ‘public fee’. Most of the workshops I have promoted this year, like many years, are around FREE to perhaps 50K. Many people have a problem with that because it feels like my brand is bigger than that. They feel worried for my brand and hence wish I can peg my fee to a premium amount and leave it there.

2.⁠ ⁠Your Online Numbers are TOO LOW. To this set of people, my online numbers don’t reflect my clout. They have heard me speak, they see the rooms my name rings a bell and they know I have some ‘authority’. They cannot understand why I don’t have 100K followers on IG and some mad stats to back it up.

THEY ARE RIGHT. On the surface, this is understandable. BUT THAT IS NOT MY FUNNEL AND STRATEGY.

One of the very important lessons I have learnt in life is to BE CURIOUS.

Is this person’s approach INTENTIONAL or A SUBCONSCIOUS LIMITING BELIEF?

For me, it is INTENTIONAL.

Search me out for the last 21 years (since 2004), ONE APPROACH HAS STOOD OUT: I Cast The Net, The Fish Pour In, Then I Filter My Fish And Feed Them Fat For Life.

Is that not what COMMUNITY is all about?

That is how I have retained MORE THAN 75% of my PATRONAGE for over a decade. It is not happenstance.

Take a simple example: today, I announced the monthly series titled: Strategy, Operations, Processes & Execution Masterclass (S.O.P.E) and even without opening registration, 2 months’ sponsorship has been paid for and 1 CEO has signed up for the rest of the year. In each of this ‘funnel events’, we convert around 5-10% who hire Cerca Africa to undertake Process Re-Engineering Projects for them paying a neighbourhood of 5-8M for 12-15 weeks of work. ARE YOU GETTING THE PICTURE?

This is only 1 scenario. I will leave others, after the next I want to share.

I have enjoyed grace of being seen by influential people. There are names that have reached out to me that I could only dream of meeting in my lifetime. They call me because someone in their circle that I have served with my work told them I could help them. 9 out of 10 times, when they ask my fee, my answer is: “LET US DO THE WORK FIRST (OR START THE WORK FIRST) THEN WE CAN DISCUSS PAYMENT ON THE WAY.” I can tell you for a fact that this is not the usual response they expect and because of that, they ALWAYS tell someone else in their own circle to call me. My clientele is MORE PRIVATE than all I am promoting publicly.

I am driven by 2 philosophies to back this up:

1.⁠ ⁠I am in your life for life.

2.⁠ ⁠If I don’t focus on your pocket, and I focus on your needs, you will open your vault for me.

IT HAS WORKED FOR THE 21 OF MY 21 YEARS OF SERVING CLIENTS.
