NOT EVERYONE PROSPERS WITH EVERYONE.

Some people thrive under the leadership of some. Some others just cannot find that click under some people. I guess life is skewed in an interesting way.

2020 gave us some raw jabs of bile attacks between M.I Abaga and Vector. Both of them enumerated a list of people who did not ‘prosper’ while they worked with either of them.

As you read this, Temmie (an Ex-YBNL) artiste is attacking Olamide (Baddo) accusing him of killing her dreams. She’s also listed a number of artistes who suffered same fate.

I DO NOT HAVE THE INSIDER DETAILS but… as a management consultant of almost a decade, I have worked with so many employees of several clients, past and current, and I can tell you that NOT EVERY EMPLOYEE WILL FLOURISH UNDER EVERY EMPLOYER. And the DISCERNMENT of this dynamics is very essential for peace. KNOW THIS AND KNOW PEACE, as they put it.

I have had some good fellows who joined SOBCAonline and left because they just weren’t making a headway with their life work. Both I and them were frustrated and atimes, at loggerheads.

I recall working for a software firm in Lagos and mehn! Was I depressed!!! I was floating through the job. No joy. No happiness. Just taking a pay.

I personally believe that anyone who desires to make progress in life must KNOW WHEN TO LEAVE before it becomes WAR.

I am never a party to tearing down someone’s business or hustle because things did not turn out as planned. That is childish and unkind. The same way, lovers break up and start destroying each other everywhere. No! Not nice at all. IS IT POSSIBLE TO EXHAUST EVERY DISCREET CHANNEL ON EARTH? I don’t think so. But then, people will be people.

Issues will come. Crisis will happen. Offense will come. And it revolves round. Today, I may be your offender and tomorrow, you will be my offender. If I unleash terror on you because you’ve wronged me, what will you do when I offend you?

This life na fickle waka o. It is vapour. It is not the absence of offense. It is the maturity to handle it with grace.

Last week, someone who ‘destroyed’ my reputation in 2016, told me ‘Thank you for forgiving me all these years. I don’t know how I could have felt today that you’ve helped me’. Hmmmmn.

My point in all is:

1. We will fall. Many times. May we not fall into the hands of those who have nothing to lose. Because it won’t look good at all.
2. Flaws are not the exclusive preserve of some and perfection is also not the exclusive preserve of anyone.
3. There is no limit to discreet channels to resolve an offense. If you feel offended by someone, it is logical to CONTACT THE PERSON FIRST and not contact them through surrogates or other parties. That is UNFAIR to them because they may actually have cogent explanations how things happened for real.
4. An offended today is an offender tomorrow. The merciful today is the recipient of mercy tomorrow. Keep that behind your mind. IT GOES ROUND.
5. Na God only dey help us. Hmmmmmmn. Make I just leave matter.
