SCIENCE COMMUNICATOR.

In 2014, Dr Bala Muhammad, the CEO of BlueBlood Vet (in FCT Abuja Nigeria) had explained a challenge with vet doctors. He said many vet doctors may find it difficult to make money; not because they don’t know their skills but because they lack the tools of communicating animal problems to pet owners in the language pet owners understand. He said most vet doctors understand the challenges of pets but if the owner does not understand what the pet wants, how can the vet doctor get paid? Hmmmmn.

Yesterday, I was visiting my loving sister, Talatu Usar, and she opened my eyes to what DR SANJAY GUPTA, CNN’s Medical Correspondence, does. Apparently, there is a job title called SCIENCE COMMUNICATOR. That is what Sanjay Gupta is. He is a Surgeon turned Medical Journalist. He has blended his training in Surgery with his passion in Journalism. His work for CNN is to communicate to you and I medical problems in relatable terms that we can understand. So instead of a conventional medical doctor getting on CNN, the media giant has hired a doctor who understands mass communication to do justice to medical mass communication. WIN-WIN.

What this means is that:

  1. You can blend your degree with your passion. I know SEGUN ELUDINI (EluTribals) in Lagos who is an Architect turned Fashion Label owner. All his designs have inscriptions from architectural imaginations.
  2. You can transit into futuristic titles even if they don’t exist. Create a job title that suits your true essence; if there isn’t any that fits your scope or frame. Isn’t that where the title FUTURIST came from?
  3. Evolve. The possibilities of the future are UNLIMITED. I personally do not see why anyone can be perpetually poor. You know why? Because there’s always a new chance to start something that can become mega.

Please google “MEGATRENDS” in the industry of your interest. It can open your mind wide for exploring a fruitful future.

I googled ‘Future Job Titles’ and found a shortlist. Check it out here: https://www.cognizant.com/whitepapers/21-jobs-of-the-future-a-guide-to-getting-and-staying-employed-over-the-next-10-years-codex3049.pdf and you can keep searching too. Maybe your future can be reinvented through this post.

BUT WHAT DO I KNOW?

BASED ON LOGISTICS.
