This morning, I had a very inspiring chat with one of our Coaches at Cerca Africa. I wish I can mention her name but for her privacy, I won’t.
The Host is a PR EXPERT of over 20 Years with experience helping brands in Nigeria 🇳🇬 , United States 🇺🇸 and now, based in Canada 🇨🇦.
In this 2-hour course, the lessons and the session were AN ABSOLUTE ENERGY !!!!!!
I was chatting Elder Idenyi and he made a point about some consultants or coaches who haven’t learnt how to charge fees. My response to him was quite straightforward: “when their fingers are burnt or when the hunger has done enough, they will learn.”
Last year, I kicked off a Zoom mini-summit titled HOW I DID IT! I hosted 12 people whom I asked to share their stories of growth, passion and commitment to entrepreneurship. A second edition was billed to hold in March 2022 but I called it off.
Suppose you had to suddenly leave your business due to an unforeseen circumstance like an accident, illness, or the opening of a new opportunity, would your business survive?
If the answer to this question is no, then your business is overly dependent on you, which is unhealthy
There are 3 things I want you to consider as the VEHICLES TO BREAKTHROUGH …
1. ASSOCIATIONS: The quality of people in your networks is a true vehicle to anything you want to achieve in this life. It is he/she who knows people that goes ON TOP of any situation. If you are a recluse, I am sorry, you may not really go so far. INVEST IN ORGANIC ASSOCIATIONS BASED ON PURPOSE AND LONG TERM OBJECTIVES.
Honestly, if certificates and credentials weren’t a part of strategic inclusion, I WILL NEVER BE A PROPONENT OF FORMAL SCHOOLING. The thing dey tire me abeg (it tires me). But it is what it is.
My daughter’s teacher sent me a message during the Sallah break to report that my girl left some of her books in school. My first impulse was anger ‘why would she do that?’ Then in the same breathe, I recollected my chat with a friend who told me ‘your daughter likes to read sha. She even reads your own library. How does she do it?’ Irony!!! How do you explain that a child LOVES MY LIBRARY but forgets her ACADEMIC LITERATURE in school? One other reason why I couldn’t stay angry with my daughter is that I WAS JUST THE SAME WHEN I WAS HER AGE.
