HOW TO UTILIZE COMMUNITIES FOR COMMONWEALTH.

One skill I don’t give myself enough credit for is COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT. I can modestly say I influence A LOT of people via VIRTUAL TRIBES and also OFFLINE. In fact, my OFFLINE TRIBE is almost 100x my ONLINE TRIBE LEADERSHIP.

I am grateful about this. During the immediate past LEADPRENEUR ROUNDTABLE, my community management talent was a spotlight for me. I recall that as far back as Blackberry Messenger (BBM) days, I had MANY GROUPS that I created and managed. I had some particular ones like BBS (Blackberry Business School) and BBVEST (Blackberry Investment Club). BBM allowed you create ROOMS for different purposes so we could have rooms within a group for Registration, another for Q&A, another for Class Notes, etc. Mehn! E don tay!!!

Today, my services manage groups like MONEY SPINNERS TRIBE, DMSC, BSG Main, BSG Current Stream, 4 SOBCA Groups, etc… and each group is actively engaging on a steady.

Why do you need to build a community?

A community is a closed group of people who share common values. They are bound by similar goals and pursue common aspirations. This increasing the potentials that they would love to build bonds and strengthen their ambitions. A good visionary will leverage on community to further their brand equity and distribute wealth.

Who should build communities?

Anyone who has a vision big enough to need people needs a community. Simple!!!

How do you build a community and sustain it?

I have properly discussed this in my book FANS DON’T PAY, which is strongly recommend you should buy. In the book, I describe the personality of a community manager, the dynamics of the people within the community, and how to give the members room to flourish. It is a massive chapter in my book.
