I DO NOT LIKE BEST KEPT SECRETS.

My philosophy is to share the good news. Every time, it’s my M.O.

Anytime a client says YES to me and allows me work with them, many times even PRO BONO, I take a huge delight to promote them and the work I’m doing for them. This has turned out to be a huge light bringer to their brand. Many times, many people know a brand more among my community because of the attention I bring to them. I recall the days of SHANE’S BURGER. I remember the days of HABIL CAFE. I remember the days of BLUEBLOOD VET. Same with THE HEALTH PLACE, etc. These are only very few of the numerous brands I have been honoured to work with/for and these brands are making their mark. These brands RECIPROCATED the gesture by allowing for brand recognition and collaboration.

This is why I take exception to brands and individuals who enjoy exceptional services and would rather ‘hide’ the hand behind the cloak. Especially brands that enjoyed a pro bono access to you. Some say it is ‘class’. Some say they don’t know how to do it. And some just don’t know why. Some clients cannot even refer you to anyone at all… because “best kept secret”. 🙄

My take is this: EVERY EYEBALL IS A GOAL.

If your Coach or Consultant is inspired to promote your brand, the least you can do is “accept the collaboration” and leverage the enthusiasm. And best still, endorse the Coach in return. WE ALL NEED SOME LEVEL OF PR and if we choose to be generous, SOMEONE ON EITHER SIDES OF THE BRANDS WILL FOLLOW THE OTHER BRAND. It is a Win-Win.

I do not want to be your Best Kept Secret. Unless you have the heavy money to pay me for exclusivity.

After 14 years of being a full time entrepreneur and 21 years of being on the hustle, I am not doing ‘keep this a secret’. It’s either you’re BOLD to endorse the work we do (if indeed you’re making progress from the work we do) or you’re ready to translate that to more fees.

I will loud you. You too will loud me. Let’s win together.
