NETFLIX PASSWORD SHARING IS ENDING.

Netflix just signed a deal with Kunle Afolayan, the movie creator who owns OCTOBER 1ST, and ROTI (Box office masterpieces). The deal stipulates that he will create 3 local content movies for Netflix in Nigeria. This is part of their move to create more local content to boost NETFLIX NAIJA, the localization of the Netflix brand.

In a bid to INCREASE subscription, Netflix is working on their algorithms to DISABLE password sharing on her platforms. ARE YOU THINKING WHAT I AM THINKING?

Well, this move has EQUAL AND OPPOSITE POSSIBILITIES:

Positive:

  1. More Nigerians may register Netflix accounts thereby increasing Netflix subscribers in Nigeria at an affordable rate. Netflix will be a DIRECT SUBSTITUTE FOR DSTV THAT IS ALREADY HYPER-PRICED. Cumulatively, it may be cheaper to be on Netflix Nigeria than DSTV if Netflix really generates loaded content.
  2. With EbonyLive’s new film academy opened in Lagos, Netflix can be assured of fresh content back to back. Also partnering with SceneOne (Funke Akindele) and other major producers like Ramsey Nouah, RMD and others, it can be MEGA BUCKS AT LAST!
  3. Netflix shares will BLOW UP. Netflix will make TONS OF MONEY from Nigeria and Africa, which will in turn make their shares VERY ATTRACTIVE!!!

PERSONAL ADVICE FROM ME: Buy Netflix Shares Now!!!! Thank me later.

Opposite:

  1. Nigerians can diss Netflix and ‘move on’. Besides, there are MORE non-Netflix savvy Nigerians than there are savvy ones. So perhaps, they will just look away. BUT IT IS NOT LIKELY THE WAY I SEE IT SHA. 😁
  2. With this Buhari government, data consumption is a strong thing. If subscribers cannot keep up with data subscription for Netflix viewing, the sales may crash month on month. This is very possible and can impact on the overall revenue for Netflix.

On the overall, I am pro-Netflix shareholding. GO AND BUY THEIR SHARES NOW!!!
