For some years now, I have always said: IF YOU ARE NOT EXPANDING YOUR DISTRIBUTION CHANNELS, YOU WON’T HAVE ECONOMIC POWER TO DO AND UNDO.

Look at the success of Mavin Records (even from the days of Mo’Hits Records), Don Jazzy makes sure his focus is on DISTRIBUTION SPREAD. Because the product is only as good as how far it goes. It is exactly same with Dangote, BUA, MTN, etc. Any big company making big numbers is FIRST a DISTRIBUTION COMPANY BEFORE BEING A PRODUCT COMPANY.

3. Join networks too. Many times, most of us spend monies to attend some courses and events, not primarily because we need it, but because we will meet people and establish new networks that give us an edge. Identify established bodies and organizations then become visible in them. That is why many Nigerians attain CMD accreditations, scheme to enter the National Institute (NIPSS), belong to several international alumni communities, etc. Invest in building a strong network.
