If you have ever attempted to send BULK EMAILS to your leads or prospects, it is most likely you have used MAIL CHIMP.
My first contact with Mail Chimp was around 2013 or so when I assembled an amateur mailing series to engage less than 100 people. This was my offshoot from my BBM (BBM means BLACKBERRY MESSENGER; the ancient forerunner of all virtual chatrooms like WhatsApp, Telegram, et al.) I used to write daily posts called ACTIVATE!!! And I migrated it to Mail Chimp. @CherishedFola was gracious to design a placeholder called ACTIVATE!!! and it made my Mail Chimp letter very beautiful. Slowly, my subscribers grew to 2,000 which then necessitated attempting to PAY MAIL CHIMP a monthly subscription fee of $25. It was not worth my value ROI. Because the mailing list wasn’t paying me then to justify the expense. I guess I was so naive how it works. I went back to LESS THAN 2,000 subscribers by removing many email addresses.
Mailchimp, a bootstrapped startup out of Atlanta, Ga., is known best as a popular tool for organizations to manage their customer-facing email activities — a profitable business that its CEO told TechCrunch has now grown to around 11 million active customers with a total audience of 4 billion (yes, 4 billion). As part of their strategy, in 2019 Mail Chimp PIVOTED INTO A FULL FLEDGE MARKETING SYSTEM INSTEAD OF JUST MAILING SYSTEM… and just 2 years later (in 2021), ANOTHER PLATFORM (INTUIT) has acquired Mail Chimp for $12 Billion (12 Billion Dollars; that is unprecedented for that kind of service that years ago was IGNORED).
How does this matter to you?
